Befriending Project Project Aims The project was set up in 1996 as a result of a demand from clients and workers who felt there was a gap in service provision that could be met by a befriending service. The Project aims to recruit, train, and support volunteers who will be "matched" to people who are isolated due to mental health problems. Although referrals to the service come from Health and Social Work Department professionals, LINK is independent with its own policies, procedures and Management Committee. |
